Legendary

One of the better Warcraft-based songs I've heard (and I've heard a LOT).

Downloaded, five'd, and ten'd.

Reachground responds:

Hey!

Thanks for taking your time!

Take care

I'll be taking that...

I've been going through using an add-on to put some of my own flavor in the music of WoW (Soundtrack), and this will work nicely as Tavern music.

I'd give you a 10, but I'm a little biased about Paladins.

Hints of MK and The Matrix, too...

Nice Track. Very neo-modern battle theme... something you might hear in a post-apocalyptic fantasy game. It also could have made a decent substitute for the crazy motorcycle theme from FF7.

I like the snare.

Whenever I heard this song in the game I always felt like I was being put in front of a firing squad, and this brought that memory back.

It never occured to me before, but hearing this theme without the layers upon layers of synth that usually gets appied to it makes me realize it's darkly similar to the SeeD Theme from FFVIII. It shares some chordes with it at least, and that's creepy considering how different they are.

Spot on.

The surrounding music gets drowned out a bit, but when it comes to the forefront it gives the harpsichord a creepy twinge right at the right time, so it plays perfectly.

I'll be putting this in my FF7 remix playlist.

TopherJ responds:

I'm glad you enjoy it :)

Quite Underrated

Dropped a 5 on this and it went up by .48

It's not really surprising the two themes blend together well - they have similar story roots, as well as similar beats.

Not Nibelheim necessarily...

This piece is first introduced right after the first bombing mission - during the flower girl scene. It returns numerous times and is the theme, later, of Nibelheim. Notes of it can be heard resonating in the score played over the final sequence (spoiler) where Holy and the Lifestream are finally unleashed upon the falling Meteor.

This is a very quiet rendition that appears to use many similar elements to the original. The piano sequence, however, takes much more prominence. Nicely done.

I didn't even read the author comment beforehand,

I just used this song for a Resident Evil movie trailer. I had to cut it up a bit, though, for run time...

It had all the song structures I needed for the trailer, and the right tempo.

Made my ears bleed...

I hate when so-called musicians pull a fast one and throw the sound from one speaker to another. All it does is hurt my ears and make me want to break the fingers of the guy turning the dial.

About half way through the switching stops and the music gets good, but if only 1/2 the song is bearable, you only get 1/2 a good score.

BloodFest responds:

Go take a listen to the full song then
Cheers

I've always been a sucker...

For violins, and this song is at the top of the list of songs played best on one. Nothing can compare to a live performance by a skilled player, but this is certainly a pleasant approximation.

Somewhere between the incandescent dreams cascading through my subconscious, and the derisive reality signifying eternal discontent, I ride a wavelength above conceptualization, but below the apex of understanding, awaiting an epiphany.
