Not exactly the most well-produced piece of flash, but it has its appeal in the interesting information provided. It could have used some war sounds for the explosions and cannon fire, but that might only have served to distract viewers.
The narrative is (for the most part) informative, simple and legible (it's not a jumbled mess of typos and spelling errors). This being a school project it was probably rushed a bit which accounts for the low detail in some of the art (it may have been simple enough to have excluded the stick figure for a drawn soldier especially considering how little he needed to move).
Overall it's not bad, just a little low on the production value. I hope you got better marks as a school project.

*It features really poor clay animation and a terrible remix of a totally unrelated song (from Mission Impossible, not Splinter Cell).
*The lighting is the worst part, right after the design.
*No effort was put into the post production elements.

Back when the concept was refreshing and new, Foamy was rather entertaining. I'm not gonna knock the animation or design or anything... just that it's gotten waaaaay too political for my taste - and illwillpress isn't even attempting to hide the politics anymore. Foamy has just gotten too blunt in recent incarnations.
It's still good for a chuckle, but IMHO the series is at its end and needs to have a final episode so the artist(s) behind it can work on something different - something new... something that isn't so lost it its politics that it can't find a road sign.

It's not the entire song.
The presentation is rather stiff and lifeless.
It made almost 0 sense.
I knew it would end up getting in the portal because people listen to that crappy music, so I gave it a 2 for free points.
Find better material, learn how to draw in flash and do the entire song next time.

Random stick deaths (some just exploded outta nowhere), nice fbf, and works with the music.
It could have used some better backgrounds in places (there was one part with rocks in the foreground and hills in the back... The hills didn't look right).
There was also a section where someone seems to have used a scripted camera (I didn't catch who it was), but either the AS was messed up or it was published in AS 1.0 and it didn't work. Either that or we were supposed to see it - I dunno really.
There are a lot of fbf stick animations on NG, so the lack of originalyty kinda affected your score. It's long enough and varied enough to warrant a 4, but the stick factor makes it a 3.
Overall not bad.

It seems kinda simple though. I'm not sure how much variation there can be on the rate of descent. Nice job recreating the faeries =).
It's a bit short and not really immersive but it's pretty cool.
you get a 3 for a vote and a 6 for a rating.

He he, thanks for reviewing my game. THe main problem with the game is the length, oh and most people on here just want to slaughter things.
Thanks for the review :)

Well ok it's a sad mood, but it's well done. I feel like that sometimes. like if I walked outside and looked at something at the right time it might wisk me away to another - happier - place. But it never happens. Reality bites sometimes.
The style is consistent, the animation is very nice.
My only complaint is that there were a few places where the background was too small for the stage (you could see the top of the background pop up on one of the shots). Also the credit roll did the same thing -- the black box didn't cover over the whole stage (or half the stage as it was). That's just a minor technicality, though, and easily remidied.
Very well done, you get a 5/5.

"Someday I hope to make things like that..."
I spent the past year learning how to create that kind of atmosphere with flash. I've been striving for something like Bitey of Brackenwood, but I now have something else to emulate.
I could probably spend a few thousand words going over everything I thought was amazing about this. However I don't think that's necessary - it's just too obvious.
Everything from the little details (hanging the key outside, for instance) to the coloring (making a snowy, 2-tone forest look like it's alive is no small task), to the character designs, animation, lighting, effects and basically everything is exactly what I'd like to create.
I hope to see more of your work.
