Not bad at all.

The newspaper clips flip by too fast to be read, but the rest of the presentation isn't bad -- though it's a bit ambiguous.

I'm really not sure what clockwork gears have to do with superheroes, but it might just be me.

The review before me is just about the most close-minded, racist review I've ever seen, so pay no attention to Rodents.

If you can do an actual animated short with that quality of art (the character depiction), and still maintain some amount of continuity that'd be great.

You forgot to put any effort in...

You might want to think about trying next time.

I'm giving this a high score because...

It's the last one.

There won't be any more of this crap cluttering the portal, and for that I am happy.

Why do people vote high on these?

They're boring, oversized and depressing.

I've yet to be able to sit through an entire episode - I got tired of waiting for something to happen. It might not be so bad as a web comic, but dragging out the melodrama with slow camera pans speckled with dialogue bubbles, then topping it off with funeral music doesn't make for an interesting or entertaining flash.

Holy Shi*

That was some extreme shi* motherf***er.

Well ok, it was at least grossly profane and riddled with unabashed defacation on some animation icons (Bugs Bunny). I have no idea where this comes from, but it reminds me of Chris Rock... if Chris Rock was a crack addict.

I'd love to hear the outtake reel for that stream of potty mouth, 'cause I'm fairly certain nobody can talk like that and retain any level of seriousness in their voice.

Cool stuff, make more.

When is the release date?

I need to make plans for that day so I miss this entirely.

Nothing in this 'teaser' was teasing me at all. Especially not the bad grammar, bland atmosphere and cliche setup.

5tupid i5 a5 5tupid doe5.

That'5 what my mamma alway5 5aid.

It wa5 mildly humorou5, partially 5ubliminal and not too 5habby. You get a four.

MWAHAHAHAHA!

5UCKER!

An All Your Base that isn't dreadfully annoying!

YAY!
It was actually funny -- something I thought was quite refreshing. Butchering the English language never sounded so poignant.

Wars are bloody.

Anyone with an IQ over 4 knows that, so why does the National media choose to remind us every day? Just to depress us? To make us feel small? To make us feel ashamed for taking action when nobody else would? To hell with them, and their rags.

The entire purpose of politics is mutual compromise -- equal footing for both sides. Thus the battle never ends. Politics is a load of bullshit plain and simple. It's how people like Teddy Kennedy stay in office after committing murder.

This flash is yet another media enduced drug-trip made by the liberal, egotistical, know-it-all progeny of a 300 year old political struggle that has lost all its meaning, but maintains its funding.

You get a 0 because you are a 0.

Today's been a good day for the portal...

This is reminicent of the old silent films from the 20s (obviously). The story is told easily and the animation (the lighting especially) fit perfectly.

It did hit a few snags where it just seemed to drag along (dwelt too much on the photo and a few other places).

Not exactly sure about vampire lore, but I can't say I ever heard of turning a vampire child into a human... A dampiel(sp?) is a half-vampire/half-human...

Mah... not enough on that train of plot for me to make any conclusive comments.

robfeldman responds:

You are correct---a "dhampir" is a product of a vampire man and mortal woman that has an immunity to vampires. In the world of Dr. Shroud however, all bets are off. There are quite a few things with vampire lore that I altered to fit the story better, especially the fact that the boy (Dr. Shroud) is a bloodsucking killer.

Thanks for the review!

Somewhere between the incandescent dreams cascading through my subconscious, and the derisive reality signifying eternal discontent, I ride a wavelength above conceptualization, but below the apex of understanding, awaiting an epiphany.
